The Obligatory I suck at having a music blog post...

Okay, so, time for some new wave love to make up for the fact that I only posted once on this blog and never ever again, till now. It is time for a new wave of music love from the vaults of pre post ultra modernism.

First up, Martyr, my favourite track from Andie Oppenheimer's New Mexico - I haven't been able to discover whether the theory that the lead singer of this band is this Andy Oppenheimer is correct... but the possibility that he is/was makes this album all the more ghostly and creepy and awesome. [Correction, I tried harder and yes, they are one and the same. Find out how to buy music from the band and about recent shows here]

Next, a song named Delta Sleep, from a band new to me, but old to the world, Trees. This song is from their album Sleep Convention. I can't say enough sqee about it.

"Delta Sleep again, stay there while I can, keep the daylight out and let the magic in."

And the last one for my pretties tonight... one of my ALL TIME FAVOURITE SONGS, New Gold Dream (12 inch import version) by Simple Minds. This was the title track of the lovely album by the same name, New Gold Dream.

I'm going to try this whole music blog thing again, but please forgive me if I fail.
